Trainee Property Maintenance & Site Support Operative (Temp-to-Perm)
Catch 22 are recruiting on behalf of an established Property and Facilities Management business for a Trainee Property Maintenance & Site Support Operative based in London.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering an excellent route into the property maintenance and facilities management sector. The role would ideally suit someone at trainee or entry level who is keen to develop a long-term career within a growing business.
The position is fully site-based from E14, with regular travel to client sites across London. Due to the nature and location of the sites, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as many locations can be difficult to access via public transport.
About the Role
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
- Main working hours are Monday to Friday 0830 - 0530 with a 1 hour unpaid break, however you must be flexible around business needs
- Some outside core hours and weekend work as and when required
- Salary up to £25,000 per annum, depending on age, experience and suitability
- The role is based from E14, London, with work taking place at client premises across London
- You must hold a driving licence and access to own vehcile due to site locations
- Uniform and PPE provided
- Full on-the-job training and support

Main Responsibilities
- Assisting engineers and experienced operatives on property maintenance jobs
- Supporting site preparation, general works and project completion
- Helping with removals, deliveries, equipment and material handling
- Keeping tools, materials and work areas organised
- Recording photographs, job updates and basic site information
- Supporting office and operational administration when not required on site
- Learning and using systems such as Workever, Prima and Excel
- Maintaining a professional standard when working at client premises
Candidate Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and eager to learn
- Practical and comfortable with hands-on, physical work
- Professional and presentable when working on client sites
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Comfortable carrying out a varied role rather than focusing on one trade
- Able to travel reliably to sites across London
- Comfortable with early starts and occasional Saturday work
- Interested in building a long-term career within property and facilities management
- Basic computer skills and confidence using new systems
- Full UK driving licence required
- Access to your own vehicle required
