Job Title: Domestic Caretaker

Hourly Rate £12.21ph 

Job Purpose

The post holder will work to professional cleaning standards and national guidance at all times.

The post holder will be responsible for providing and maintaining an efficient and professional domestic support function to the buildings. 

Key Responsibilities

•  First point of contact for cleaning issues, liaising with their Line Manager, ensuring that all issues raised are dealt with in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
• To provide a domestic support function within the specified area ensuring specified tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe and within the boundaries of competence.
• Organises own workload, in line with the requirements of the cleaning specification.
• Communicate with staff within the domestic team and also with other staff using the building, on issues around cleaning/ security/ access etc (mainly routine issues)
• Ensure all Domestic Local Operational Procedures are adhered to. Maintaining safety and security of the building eg signing in and out.
• Use cleaning equipment to carry out role. Liaise with their Line Manager in relation to machine maintenance and provision of supplies.
• To ensure fire regulations are adhered to. 

Our client are a large healthcare organisation who are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Manager with an Electrical Engineering background to supervise the building operations and manage the safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems within a large site within the Keighley region.

Role Responsibilities;

• Manage the operation of complex healthcare electrical systems and plant rooms. E.g power distribution boards and installations, high and low voltage maintenance, including generator testing, fire alarm systems, PAT testing, emergency lighting, external lighting and medical equipment. 
• Handling Risk assessments and ensuring compliance is maintained.
• Managing a small team of engineers including the training and supervision of operational maintenance staff, including recruitment, absences and staff development performance.
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are complied with.
• Work closely with the Senior Operations Engineer with projects, people supervision and management of building operations.
• Work flexible hours and able to be on call for escalation 

Ideal Candidate Experience;

• Hold relevant technical qualifications within Electrical Engineering or Building services e.g HND/HNC Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering (Essential)
• Have a strong Electrical Engineering background within a facilities management environment (Essential)
• Have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, ideally with relevant qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH (Preferred)
• Hold previous experience working within a large commercial building, ideally within healthcare environment and knowledge of BMS systems (Preferred)
• Have excellent people management skills. Previous roles could include being a team leader, supervisor or manager.

Role Benefits;

• Salary around £41,200 per annum
• 37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri hours
• 26 days + Bank holidays

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out complex maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on specialist healthcare building systems E.g power distribution boards and installations, high and low voltage maintenance, including generators, door entry and fire alarm systems, PAT testing, emergency lighting, external lighting, and medical equipment. 
• Able to analyse and/or diagnose and repair faults.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Strong customer care and confidentiality focus.
• Good communication skills, positive and proactive approach.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers when needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Hold relevant technical qualifications within Electrical services - Minimum City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3
• Testing & Inspection Qualified - 18^th edition and 2391/2392
• Have a minimum 3 years experience working within a Electrical Engineering role from a facilities environment (Essential)
• Have some knowledge of Mechanical Engineering from within a facilities environment (Preferred but not a must) 
• Have strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
• Hold previous experience working within a large commercial building, ideally within healthcare environment and knowledge of BMS systems (Preferred)

Role Package:

• Salary of around £38,000 – on a permanent 37.5 hour contract
