Job Description

Property Coordinator

£34,000 - £39,000 | London | Hybrid / Field Based | Permanent

Are you a practical, hands-on property or facilities professional who enjoys being out on site as much as managing people and solving problems?

We’re recruiting a Field Operations Coordinator for a growing, purpose-led property organisation. This is a varied role combining facilities and property knowledge, field operations and team leadership.

You’ll manage and develop a small, flexible field team, coordinate inspections and contractor visits, visit properties across London and surrounding areas, and help assess the work required to get buildings ready for occupation.

This isn’t a traditional desk-based FM role. You’ll be out in the field, looking at buildings, identifying issues, quality-checking work and using your practical knowledge to help make good property decisions. Specialist works are handled by contractors, so you don’t need to be an engineer or qualified tradesperson.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading, coaching and developing a small field-based team
  • Coordinating property inspections, contractor visits and field activity
  • Visiting and assessing properties to identify maintenance and operational requirements
  • Quality-checking inspections and contractor works
  • Improving communication between field-based and office teams
  • Managing operational processes including keys, equipment and site facilities
  • Helping improve systems, processes and ways of working

What we're looking for

You could come from Facilities Management, Property, Housing, Building Services, Maintenance Coordination or a similar operational environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Good practical knowledge of how residential buildings work
  • An understanding of general maintenance, plumbing, heating, electrics and building condition
  • Some line management, supervisory or team coaching experience
  • Confidence dealing with contractors and resolving practical problems
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • A proactive, resourceful approach
  • Confidence picking up new technology and systems

Most importantly, you'll enjoy being out and about, working independently and getting things done.

The package

£34,000 - £39,000
25 days' holiday + bank holidays
Flexible hybrid working
Training and development opportunities
Genuine career progression

This is a Monday-to-Friday role combining field work, home working and regular time at an East London office.

If you enjoy buildings, people and problem-solving and want a role with plenty of variety and autonomy, we'd love to hear from you.
