Business Support Assistant - Helpdesk

Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre
Hours: Part time, 25 hours a week
Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7, including weekends, evenings, and late-night shifts on a rotating rota
Salary: £18,300

The Role

We are recruiting for a Part Time Business Support Assistant to join a busy Facilities and Compliance Helpdesk team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to play a key role in supporting the delivery of maintenance, compliance, and health & safety services across a large commercial environment. Based on the Helpdesk, you will be responsible for coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities, updating CAFM systems, monitoring service levels, and ensuring compliance-related tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor maintenance requests through the CAFM system.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to ensure service delivery standards are achieved.
  • Track compliance documentation, certificates, and audit actions.
  • Monitor contractor attendance and update system records.
  • Support Health & Safety and Fire Compliance teams with reporting and administration.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of operational records.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. 

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in a customer service, helpdesk, administration, or facilities support role.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and late-night shifts.
