Job Description

Our client, an award winning Facilities Management Services organisation are currently looking to recruit a cleaning team leader within the Manchester area. The successful candidate will take full ownership of works assigned to them, liaising with  clients on-site, reporting to the office team, ensuring the job is completed to a high standard and overseeing the team on both the works and their welfare.

Much, but not all, of our work is out of hours – overnight, which is why when you’re on nights, you will work a 4 on, 3-off week.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and work alongside a team (typically 2-3 other people) ensuring successful delivery of our projects.
2. Communicate with our clients on-site regarding the works, talking them through the job and offering advice.
3. Liaise with the office administration and sales team.
4. Manage team on-site including their breaks and welfare.
5. Be prepared to be a team player this is a “player-coach” role.
6. Following site-visits produce the information required for the office to send survey reports and pictures.

Experience

1. Background knowledge within a cleaning company with experience in the use of cleaning machinery operating would be an advantage.
2. Prior experience within a supervisory role managing small teams.
3. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
4. Be able to use apps to produce good quality pictures and information using a tablet or phone.
5. UK clean driving licence is a requirement for this job.
6. Right to work in UK and able to speak English language.
